"Winter Trees & Me"

Faithful sentinels braced against the winter winds,
Their honesty beckons me.
Naked souls~
Plaintive, yet silent.

Unseen tears slipping down roughened cheeks,
Their beauty beckons me.
Bereft season~
Vulnerable, yet resilient.

Barren arms outstretched toward Heaven,
Our kinship beckons me.
Yearning hearts~
Reaching, yet waiting.
